Almedahl's Swedish dishcloths: indispensable in your kitchen
The dry sponge was already invented in 1949 by Swedish technician Curt Lindqvist! In the meantime, the dish cloth can no longer be ignored not only from Scandinavian kitchens, but also from yours.
They are extremely easy to use. Not only does the dish cloth absorb water very well (they absorb up to 15 times their own weight!), But you can also wash them in the washing machine at 90º C! The dish cloths are made from natural materials: 70% cellulose and 30% cotton. This makes them 100% biodegradable (allowed in the green container).
The size of this dry sponge / dishcloth is 18 x 20 cm.
Picnic series from Almedahls
The Picknick series was designed in the 1950s by the Swedish Marianne Westman. Almedahls did breathe new life into the design with tea towels, place mats and dish cloths. In the designs you see ingredients that are often used in Scandinavian dishes: fresh vegetables, herbs such as dill and of course fish.
