Coloured ceramic tableware and glassware by Danish Bitz Living

Did you know that you eat 15% less from a colored plate? So that's a good thing if you eat a little less healthy once in a while. Don't we all tend to eat a little too much? And did you also know that you eat more if your dish has the same colour as your plate? So serve your vegetables on a green plate and eat a lot of healthy things without you even realizing it! ♥

The Bitz plates are made of glazed earthenware. This glaze gives the plates a nice shine, but over time it also shows cut marks and scratches. This is precisely the intention of Christian Bitz. This makes it look a lot more natural and raw than polished tableware, which in turn fits in with Bitz's thinking about healthier eating.

The Bitz tableware does not absorb any aromas or flavours. In addition, you can put your Bitz tableware in the microwave, and in the oven up to 220˚C. You can also clean the plates in the dishwasher, nicely practical.

Bitz Denmark glasses and water bottles from recycled glass

The glasses and bottles of Bitz Denmark fit perfectly with the plates. Just like the plates, the glass is not perfectly smooth, but ribbed, which gives it a rustic look. The cap on the closure is made of the same glazed pottery as the plates. A nice detail.

    Who is Christian Bitz?

Christian Bitz wants to inspire Danes to live a healthier life. In a realistic way, without making anyone feel like they have to. And especially without 'hocus pocus' and with common sense. Above all, food should be fun, a nice moment together at the table. In this way you also eat slower (which is also better for your health) and more conscious.

Bitz holds a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition and is research director at the Herlev and Gentofte hospitals. Here he is involved in various research projects and the development of better meals for patients. On Danish TV2, he has hosted and been an expert on many TV programmes, including 'Denmark's largest diet'. On the weekly DR1 consumer program 'Madmagasinet Bitz & Frisk' he hosted. In addition, he has already written eight books.
